JASPER ARCHITECTS

PROJECT
M25

Jasper Architects won the public’s vote in an invited
competition for the design of a former department store
on a prominent site in Wedding, Berlin. The concept was to
transform an inward-facing structure into an open, public
space by weaving the building into the urban fabric. Public
pathways connect a series of boxes that house spaces for
gathering and exhibition, and a rooftop terrace provides
publicly accessible views onto the surrounding area. Inside,
the building contains offices, housing, and retail space.
